I wonder what the afterlife in this universe is like. Is there a heaven and hell based realm in the Spirit World that not even the Avatar can venture into? or is reincarnation the way to go?

I have a mature headcanon of him joining the Red Lotus after he left Yakone at Unalaq's suggestion. then sometime later an incident happened that caused the organization to order Noatak's death and bloodbending outlawed within its ranks (would explain why Ming Hua didn't bloodbend in the series). to hide his identity from both the Red Lotus AND the Fire Nation (where the incident took place) he created Amon and the Equalist movement.
