Yaling

<p>I just recently read Imbalance for the first time and it very much feels to me like, of all the earthbenders in the series, Yaling is the only one who single-handedly poses a threat to Toph. With more training I even wonder if she could've outmatched her. </p><p>Yaling was amazed by Toph's metalbending, and I would not be surprised if Yaling could've learned that too. Additionally Yaling worked out that Toph sees through Earthbending and used that to her advantage. If Yaling trained a bit to learn to use metalbending and seismic sense I legitimately wonder if Yaling could've taken Toph. </p><p>Maybe I'm reading too much into this but that definitely seemed to be where it was headed. For the TV series I'm happy we never saw anyone top Toph in terms of Earthbending but I think it would be interesting to see if Yaling returns in later comics gradually improving until we see a final confrontation. I'd like to see someone who actually poses a threat to Toph in terms of Earthbending. </p>
