Sokkas space sword was a gift from yue. Yue must have heard sokka think he is useless and sent the meteor to make him happy. She made the sword disappear when she found out sokka is dating suki

So when Sokka dropped his sword into the ocean why didn't Katara or Aang make the air bubble thing and take Toph to the ocean floor to use her seismic sense to see where it is?

<p>The fact that Sokkas sword is lost at the end of the last airbender means it could be found by somone. We still dont know if Sokka had children who could have recovered the sword or if Sokka went back to find it himself at some point. Either way it seems likely the sword will reappear at some point in the possesion of sombody.

<p>In the episode "Sokka's Master", we see him creating his own sword from the meteor. The episode's Goofs said that when plunged into the water to be cooled, the sword has a triangular end, but then when completely finished, it doesn't.
When I watched this episode, I looked many times for the sword to not have a triangular end, but all its close-ups (when you can tell) do show a triangular end. Even when Piandao first pulls Sokka's new sword out from its sheath, it has a triangular end.
Which scene (close enough that you can tell) does it not have a triangular end?
