Satoru

<p>I have a feeling that Satoru is Su's dad. The story would be something like this; </p><p>Toph had been exhaust-ed from her loss of money. Wasn't the school enough, Police force?!? Oh, right it was her five-year-old Lin. The Earthen Fire Refinery wouldn't just give her more money!  </p><p>A year later... </p><p>Toph had been in a good relationship with Satoru but this was too fast. A marriage! Well, it was okay. She would be getting more money from the Earthen Fire Refinery. The co-owners would become owners. As the heir to ao Beifong, and Satoru as the heir to Loban, their child would own the whole Earthen Fire Refinery.  </p><p>Later... </p><p>It was over Satoru and Toph weren't working out . Toph moved back to Republic City and regained her duties as Chief of Police. She and Lin had taken a vow. Little baby Suyin would never see the man who mistreated his own daughter. Never. </p><p>So what are your thoughts? </p>

<p>So, ever since I read the comics, this has kept popping up for me. I thought it was obvious that Satoru was in some way related to the Satos, because of you know, him being an engineer, building a technically advanced factory "representing the future", building never-before-seen machines (just like the Satomobile later on), being called SATOru, and constantly saying "flying fire ferrets". I was almost 100% sure that was the case. </p><p>After a bit of searching though, I'm not so sure anymore. I haven't been able to actually support my idea with proof, so now I'm kind of lost as to whether it could be true or not. </p><p>What do you guys think? </p>

<p>I dunno about you guys, but I think there are some major potential character revelations for this guy. </p><p>First off, let's talk about his possible relation with the Sato family. I think it's a bit of a long shot to assume he has any relation with the Sato family despite his current position as a construction worker's nephew and the fact that his name is SATOru. This may seem like a major connecting thread to you guys but I think Bryke is just messing with us on this one xD I mean think about it, his full name would be Satoru Sato... O.o that just seems rather, unlikely. His current position however, might indicate something. But I think I recall at one point Hiroshi saying that his family was poor. And Satoru with all of his technology advancements and whatnot would obviously be making alot of money. So, unless Satoru's factory gets destroyed somehow maybe by that monster that Aang envisioned, or if Aang makes him leave on the grounds that he defiled his sacred land (which I see as highly unlikely after watching that episode about the northern air temple again) I can't imagine him going broke any time soon. But if he does, then him having any relation with the Sato family would still be pretty vague, ya know... "Satoru Sato". </p><p>Now let's talk about Toph, Satoru is a HUGE fanboy of Toph. He deeply admires her for inventing metal bending and even agreed to sponser her a new metal bending school in exchange for her services around the factory. This would mean that they would be spending alot of time together and it may very likely reside in marriage too. I don't mean to sound hasty just yet, especially considering how these comics are still in the process of being thrown out there, but keep in mind Toph never really had a real love interest. And I think the only reason for her having a crush on Sokka in the show was a means for the devs to show a more feminine side to her, I think even the devs show that they don't want Toph and Sokka to be together, they even put a restriction on it in LoK. Making it so Lin (Toph's daughter) and Tenzin (Aang and Katara's son) were once in love. Since we already know that Katara and Sokka are brother and sister, let's assume that Sokka and Toph did get married... Lin and Tenzin would be cousins. This pretty much confirms that Toph and Sokka will never happen. So sorry to all you Tokka lovers, her having a new character as a love interest may not seem like a big stretch to me. So I think Satoru being Lin's father is very possible! </p><p>With that being said, I can't wait untill the rift part 2 comes out! I'm excited to see what happens! </p>

<p>Spoilers: </p><p>I'm sure we've read the Rift by now and as such, you're probably aware of a new character introduced named Satoru! </p><p>I'm sure this is probably talked about before and if so, then whoops (I didn't see any so...) but I wanted to bring in my thoughts to something that probably has been discussed for the last, what? 6 days? </p><p>Anyways, Satoru as Lin's father, in my opinion, is extremely likely. </p><p>For one, Satoru's hair and hair color are actually kind of similar to Lin's, I know that's a probably a weak argument but bare with me. We know Lin's hair is styled in a way similar to Satoru's and we also know that in a way, he does resemble Lin a bit, at least, from what I've seen from the pics, I can't help but to compare the two. </p><p>Also, Satoru is a massive Toph fanboy and immedately ignores Aang (who we all know is the savior of the planet) for her! </p><p>I'm also gonna touch on the theories that he's the grandfather (or father) of Asami and Hiroshi and I think that's also possible since in a way, they seem similar as well, on top of that, his work in engineering and machinary might be the precursor to Future Industries however, with that said. It's possible that he inspired the foundation of Future Industries as oppose to being apart of it. </p><p>I'm not entirely sure, but hey! That's why we have forums! </p>

<p>when we read the Rift Part 1, we see a forklift as the first and only transportation vechicle. Just the Satomobile by Hirshi. is it possible that Satoru could be Hiroshi's father and Asami's Grandfather. if he is, then that means team avatar were friends with Satoru while their children were young. Right? </p>
