In Beginnings Part Two, Vaatu says "I lived ten thousand lifetimes before the first of your kind crawled out of the mud!" This confuses me. Because is he being literal or is he being figurative? If he's being literal, then more questions arise. How did humanity come from the mud? Was it magic mud? Did somebody shape the mud into humanity? And if somebody did shape people out of mud, who? If he's being figurative, the question about human evolution is gone, but the question about other animal evolution is there. How did we get a saber-tooth mooselion?
Baseline Question: Was there evolution in the Avatarverse?
