Mako Iwamatsu

Happy birthday to the late Makoto Iwamatsu, simply known as Mako. Of course Mako is well known as the original voice actor of Uncle Iroh, voicing him in the first two seasons of Avatar. He was also known as the original voice actor for Aku in the first four seasons of Samurai Jack. In honor of his birthday, what's your favorite Iroh moment?

When we first heard this song, we probably though Iroh was saying good bye to his son, but now realize that Mako Iwamatsu was saying good bye to us.

I just had a long being sad session because of Leaves from the Vine and how it wasn't Iroh saying goodbye to Lu Ten but Mako Iwamatsu saying goodbye to us.

Today is the day Mako, the original voice actor of Iroh, (unfortunately) passed away. mako was an amazing actor, and he helped breathe life into different characters in many shows and movies.

He was part of many of our childhoods, and he will always be remembered. May Mako Rest In Peace. ❤️
