Lao Beifong

Hakoda: Goes to fight in the war... eh. You've got kids, bro. 4/10

Kya: Dies. Like, what the hell? C'mon, you're better than that. 2/10

Toph's parents: The literal definition of Karen. Boooooooooooring. 1/10

Aang's parents: No freaking idea. ?/10

Ursa: Runs away from her kids like she doesn't give a crap. Contributes to daughter's loss of sanity. Not the best. 2/10

Ozai: Sets goals for his kids, and helps them achieve them. Pushes them to become the best they can be through studious practice. Helps them become successful in their later life. Hated, nonetheless. He knew they would dislike him for it, but he selflessly helped them grow to succeed. A selfless, kind parent. 10/10

I work tonight so I'm going to go ahead and get my next ship out: Laoppy.

Laoppy is the ship between Lao Beifong and Poppy Beifong.

We don't know how Lao and Poppy met because they were married by the time they were introduced. They had a daughter named Toph who was born blind and were extremely strict to the point that they hid her existence from the rest of world. Lao and Poppy decided to be even more strict after discovering her earthbending prowess so she ran away and joined Team Avatar. Poppy eventually blamed Lao for losing Toph after Xin Fu and Yu gave up their search for her and Lao left to start the Earthen Fire Refinery with Loban. However, they eventually reconciled as they were back together by the time that Toph sent her second daughter Suyin to live with her.

I ship Laoppy because without them we wouldn't have Toph or her wonderful descendants without them. I know that they split apart briefly but I like Poppy's unseen development. When we saw her during the show she seemed rather naive and always went with what her husband said. But when Toph ran away she finally realized what they had done and stood her ground. Their marriage worked out in the end anyway because they were back together when Toph sent Su to live with them.

I welcome all opinions on Laoppy as well as other ships involving Lao and Poppy but please do keep comments constructive.
