When people tell me they hate Korra, they will sometimes give reasons. Some of these reasons have merit and I can understand. Others are so contradictory or nit picky or completely wrong that it annoys me and angers me. So I've decided to make a list about why Aang is "terrible" and we should all "hate" this Marvin Sue (please remember that all these bullet points are parodies of Korra reasons not actual reasons to hate Aang. Most are literally flat out not true, like in Korra's case. Also the way that the words Mary Sue will be thrown around is technically incorrect as the meaning is different to the way I'm using it).
Aang is a Mary Sue! He's perfect. He never messes up. Everyone is always gushing about how great the Avatar is, and how he fixes everything. And its way too easy for him to fix stuff. The story just moves around him. He can't kill Ozai? Oh well have a Lion Turtle Marvin! He needs to master the Avatar state? Have a rock Marvin! He needs to save people from a volcano? Here's some clouds! He needs to not be boiled in oil? Here's the rough rhinos!
Aang messes up way too much! He lets Ozai burn down part of a forest, he lets himself be manipulated by Jet, he lets himself get electrocuted, he leaves Appan behind to get kindapped, etc.
Its Aang's fault that the air benders were all killed! He should have been more responsible and stayed at the Southern Air Temple!
It's Aang's fault that he nearly broke the cycle and lost connection to his previous Avatars! He should have been watching more carefully for Azula!
He's sooooo unlikable! Always goofing off! Always so impulsive! And when he's not he's acting like that, he's acting holier than though! Sooo annoying!
Male characters are bad! They always hog the spotlight from female characters!
Aang is soooo boring!
Aang is a coward! He should of killed Ozai!
How dare Aang break my Zutarra ship!? Unsubscribe to Aang!
Aang having tattoos encourages children to be bad!
Aang jumping off of cliffs and doing other dangerous actions are encouraging teens to become daredevils and hurt themselves!
Aang is a sociopath who doesn't care about other human's lives! He killed all those Fire Nation guys! He could have killed the sand benders and General Fong!
Aang is the worst, and I have no reason why I think he is. He just is.
In conclusion: AANG SUCKS!

Ps. Ps. The Aang having tattoos comment is trying to parody the Korra is bisexual so she is going to turn all our kids into rainbows comment. When I originally came up with the list I had a hard time thinking of one that would kind of fit.
Ps. Ps. Ps. Aang regained his connection to the past Avatars by going into the spirit world and meeting with the last 5 Avatars, meaning that Korra should be able to do the same, because the Avatars are not gone, she just lost her connection to them.
