At least regarding, The Shadow of Kyoshi, I would've given the Flying Opera Company an actual role in the story. It was super disappointing that Wong and Kirima only came in at the end just to instantly get beaten in the final battle.

The Shadow of Kyoshi could had used them to portray how Kyoshi now being a profession criminal would affect image as an Avatar. Also how Kyoshi was manipulated with working with Zoryu that broke her daofei vows would've a stronger impact if Kirima and Wong was there to call it out.

This could be a problem with the medium(books) but the kyoshi novels almost feel like a whole different franchise.

I noticed that Roku's novels felt a little more "avatary" than kyoshi but that might also be a thing with the authors.

I haven't read the Kyoshi novels are they any good I wouldn't mind seeing more of Avatar Kyoshi in an animated show or movie Since she's my third favorite avatar

The only things I know about her are that she created Kyoshi Island, she killed Shin the Conquerer, she's the oldest avatar, and one of the most powerful, and she created and founded both the Kyoshi Warriors and the Dai Li and she's the avatar after Kuruk I know all of that from her appearances in ATLA and the Escape from the Spirit World lost episode that I've watched on YouTube
