What would you change in The Legend of Korra?
What would you change, add, remove, etc. in the plot?

she's really immature and overconfident, and she got all her bending handed to her on a silver platter (except air, of course) she had basically nos truggle a large chunk of her life, so no traumatic events to constitute real character development. It seems at times they try to make her funny, but they just can't. The only thing I liked about Korra was her fight with Unalaq, that was one of the best choreographed fights in the Avatar franchise.
@MegalonIsAwesome2004 I agree on all of your points about korra except for the giant kaiju engerybeam battle with unalaq I did not like that doesn't belong In the avatarverse
@MegalonIsAwesome2004 neither of those are true. She is both very mature and very humble. you are talking about book 1 korra which is a narrow view of her character. I could say aang is ignorant, goofy and cocky.
She mastered all of her bending for longer than any known avatar had to train. she has a lot of struggle. plenty of trauma in her life.
She has a lot of genuinely funny moments for most people.
Either you're ragebaiting because most of what you say is straight up untrue or you genuinely believe this. For this reason, i ask what is your evidence for all of these claims?
@STARWARFAN1 those points are factually inaccurate. I can prove each of those points wrong SURGICALLY with cited evidence down to the MINUTE.
Also kaiju's have been in atla since it was released. both heibai and koizilla are kaiju (Koizilla is literally a take on godzilla)
spirit energy blasts are also something that was in the first season of atla (the basis for the entire franchise) to say they don't exist in the avatarverse is to say that book 1 is bad. do you think book 1 is bad?
If so great! you are sticking to a standard.
If not, I wonder why you excuse that but not tlok
You seem to be forgetting what the topic of this post is.
@Bastion2.0 why are you talking to them? You know very well what they'll say.
Why? a part of me is genuinely curious. I truly do want to understand even a little bit why people believe such things so fervently with little evidence, logic or sense. I would like to see just a piece of understanding so I can even mildly agree with them.
The other part is trying to disprove the arguments with facts so that there is no more basis for these hot takes. ultimately I do understand its futile.
What I would change is reorganize the sequence of events. I would move the seasons and their narratives for a build up.
Book 1 - book 1 - air
Book 2 - book 3 - change
Book 3 - book 4 - balance
Book 4 - book 2 - spirits
For a smaller scale. I would give mako and bolin more character and opportunities to flesh it out. Get rid of the Republic city plot in book 2. kill the love triangle in book 1 so it doesn't leak over. give the red lotus a bit more character. Give aang one or two more interactions with korra in person. make korra's avatar state LOOK stronger than it does.
*while I don't agree that it is a weaker avatar state. I do agree that it LOOKS weaker because of the smaller scale feats.
I would give jinora a bit more feats to solidify that she is a master. Give unalaq a bit more spice. maybe make his power complex a result of something in his past.
@STARWARFAN1 Also with your edits. all of that is solid, but is any of that superior to the objectively better choreography, duration, animation and other components that the many other fights have?
The concept of a dark avatar is just as dumb as the concept of a light avatar which is what the avatar is. ultimately its actually not dumb seeing as the entire show is about the fight against evil. a dark avatar is a reasonable addition, it was just handled wrong.
Because she saw that spirits and humans can live in peace and thrive. she was correct. the show proves that she is correct. I bet if aang was put in the same situation he would have made the same decision.
What would sokka being alive contribute? people would just complain that he isn't seen enough. also Tonraq, aside from being the chief is korra's father. He may not be as good a leader as them but he is definitely not just nothing.
If your point is for tlok to not exist. then just say "I wouldn't change anything, I would just rather it not exist" instead of pointing out things you would get rid of that would make the show not make sense.
Korra is most certainly not mature, until maybe right at the end.
She was like 4 when she used 3 of the 4 elements effectively, something that every other avatar never has done. All the other avatars usually start with a good understanding of their nation's element, but Korra already had 3. Her only challenge was with airbending as being calm and humble was the direct opposite of her entire character.
What do you think?
