Okay.
Yeah this would not fix this season…
Well Unalaq did want spirits and humans to live in peace and harmony. He just believed Vaatu could bring that idea to reality. So the "before" and "after" a rly quite the same.
Dont see how this changes anything at all, actually makes it worse imo, as it looses major character development from korra with her having her uncle as her mentor. Also heightened stakes and the pressure on korra due to fighting a family member
This was another point of character development, Korra realizing the use of AS to be a power and not a play thing.
I could see this being beneficial, making the plot more interesting.
I couldnt care regardless, that entire relationship was a dumpster fire.
This would be a fun throwback/moment. Not sure how it would fit into the plot tho.
1. Unalaq is definitely not cliche. And he always wanted spirits and humans to live together and Vaatu corrupting him doesn't change a thing.
2. No??
3. Defeats the purpose of Book 1 ending.
4. This would subtract from Unalaq's plot and it doesn't need to happen.
5. That is literally what happens.
6. Why does Jinora need to learn about Wan. It doesn't add to her character arc and Aang and Zuko learning about Roku and Sozin doesn't relate to Avatar history the same way it does with Korra learning about Wan.
7. Korra and Raiko intend to have a feud after this book so what relates to this change?
8. No??
9. This doesn't track with Korra's potential. This would be uninteresting and makes the Book 2 worse.
Again, these changes just don't track and don't help Book 2.
It is unclear what Unalaq's plan was. For all we know the change is what actually happened. We don't know. But, I wouldn't call him cliche.
No. This defeats the reason for why Korra initially trusts Unalaq and then doubles down why she doesn't trust her father.
NO. The point of Korra having perfect mastery is to maker her learn a lesson about the Avatar State and not to use it foolishly.
I don't like this change because it kind of makes the war feel really solve-able. It could be a lead up to the war, but not the catalyst.
I agree with this change whole heartedly
No. The point is it's supposed to be a wake up call to Korra.
No. Raiko not sending troops is supposed to help build tension between him and Korra. It also explains why they couldn't have stopped Unalaq quickly.
This change wouldn't work. The point is that Korra is making the judgement about spirits and humans on her own. No past lives telling her what to do. It symbolizes a change and not always listening to the past. Having Aang tell her that removes it of the meaning.
The only change is no Kaijus. And as someone who loves the kaijus, I disagree.
@Hybrid Monster Army For number six, I think they wanted Jinora to learn about wan so it could build up to the beginnings episode, or that's at least what I heard from certain opinions
Unalaq IMO should not be any deeper than he is. he craves power and seeks ultimate power
Tonraq and unalaq being brothers gives korra another and the best reason to want to listen to him. also their connection allows korra to realize unalaq is just after power.
Korra can activate the avatar state at any time just like all other avatars. I would keep that scene because it points out korra's flaw and fixes it.
The civil war plot line was fine
A lot of people really have a problem that bolin and eska's dynamic is played for laughs but it has never been really offensive to me. its clearly meant to be exaggerated and a parody of the yandere trope. but its absurdity makes it funny.
1. Not really, he just thinks Vaatu can do it better than Raava, for that he is kinda stupid.
2. Why? Takes a major character arc from Korra as having him as her mentor, which makes it all the more real and hurtful when he betrays her and the others.
3. Defeats the purpose of the ending of the season and 1 as well as basically all of season 3.
4. I feel this would make plot more interesting but at the same time take away from Unalaq's plot.
5. You ain't changing nothin, this is literally what happens.
6. What does this serve Jinora? She ain't the Avatar. Plus it takes away from her own character arc.
7. Like @Hybrid Monster Army said, Korra and Raiko intend to have a feud after this book so what relates to this change?
8. Why does this need to happen?
9. Stop hating on the Kaiju fight.
Overall. Don't try and fix what isn't broken.
What do you think?
