The Fire Nation post-war is something that I've always wondered about-- especially because we don't see it a lot of LOK. I mean, there must of been some sort of national guilt, right? Like being ashamed to say that you're from the Fire Nation or being afraid something good about the Fire Nation.
There also must've been a lot of hate towards the Fire Nation, especially as the United Republic began forming and Fire Nation citizens immigrated there. People would've thought that all firebenders are bad troublemakers, are involved in gangs, etc. and just an overall anti-firebender mentality.
And I know the Fire Nation colonies were dissolved with the Harmony Restoration Movement, but there must've also been some trouble there, with earthbenders suddenly feeling more powerful. (Granted, I haven't read the comics in ages, so feel free to correct me on what happened).
And finally, there would probably be some pro-war people out there who still think that the Fire Nation should've won, Zuko's a wimp, etc.
