Hello everyone.
This coming Tuesday, there will be a roundtable on the Fandom Discord server with Fandom's Engineering Team, giving us the opportunity to speak directly to the Fandom Quality Engineers, who are responsible for fixing bugs, making sure new features work, and generally ensuring the platform runs as smoothly as possible.
In light of this, I wanted to reach out to the users on the wiki to provide your thoughts on the platform, and if you have any issues or questions you would like relayed to them.
There are four questions that will frame the overall conversation:
What has broken for you recently on the platform?
What tool/extension/special page/feature do you rely on the most or use a lot in your day-to-day on Fandom?
Are there any extensions, parser functions, or features you yourself use or have seen used in a non-standard way?
What do you think of the overall quality of our wiki platform?
These questions are intended to be broad to get as diverse range of thoughts as possible. Your responses, insights, thoughts, and experiences can help to shape the direction of the platform and Fandom overall, so comment down below your answers to these questions or anything else you think might be relevant. Feel free to say if there was a bug somewhere or you don't like something, just remember to be respectful. In the end, we are all working towards the same goal of creating a positive experience for everyone.
I will do my best to relay as many responses and questions to the QE team as I can (and I can share a link to this post with them), and to respond back with what they say.
Stay flaming.
