In my view honorary, besides being Sokka's girlfriend, she has a less essential role to the other members (Aang, Katara, Toph, Sokka, Zuko, Appa).

Well, she isn't an original member at least. Her role within that team also declines as soon as the post ATLA comics start. Her identity is more heavily a Kyoshi Warrior than anything.

It is notable to be considered a member of both though. While Zuko joined late, he is more actively involved with Team Avatar than Suki.
