No, Kuvira is not like Korra (and she didn't save her nation)

I hate it when people say Kuvira and Korra are similar. They are not! One is a power hungry fascist, who builds weapons of mass destruction, and kills ethnic minorities, while the other does not do those things. Kuvira being strong and motivated doesn't mean she's similar to Korra. By that logic basically everyone in ATLA and LOK are similar to Korra! The way the show and people try to say they are similar makes me sick, and I don't understand how could anyone say that. Also, Kuvira does not save her nation. In real life, Hitler helped Germany out of the Great Depression with his nationalist views and policies. But, he didn't really save them. Short term he did, but overall life sucked. Fascism is bad. Meanwhile Kuvira (an obvious analogous) does practically the same thing. She saves her people for two seconds and then immediately they are suppressed by her dark forces. She does not save her nation, she makes it much worse. And then she blames Korra and her parents for making her do the fascism. In conclusion, Kuvira is not like Korra, did not save her nation, and is the most evil villain in the entire franchise.

@JN226 i know. And the answer is no she wouldn’t. Its true that Kuvira and Korra are both broken, but that doesn’t make them similar. Lots of characters were broken and healed or didn’t heal. Also, Kuvira started off with all the plans of fascism. It’s not something that developed by chance. She implemented it from the beginning of her journey. Korra never would have done that because she is not a fascist.

I agreeeee 💯! It really pissed me off too cause one Avatar and a great person hasn't deserved at all to be compared to female Hitler! They said it to make Kuvira better but just made it worse for Korra💀

@Korrazula I still find it funny that Kuvira is the one that Bryke try the hardest to justify, even when she’s the most evil one. Unalaq is somehow less problematic! Though I’m also annoyed by the Kuvira/Korra comparison because it gives a lot of Korra haters ammunition. I’ve seen plenty of people saying that Korra is a Nazi because she and Kuvira are so similar (which they are not, and Korra most definitely is not a Nazi).

If you ask me, she should have died. I know that saving her was a final part of Korra's development but after everything she's done, she didn't deserve to live. And not to even mention that she's not in jail💀 Also, Korra isn't the only character who was used for Kuvira's justification. They've also ruined Su and Opal and people hate them because of "how they treated her". I watched some YouTuber who put Kuvira in S tier and Su and Opal in D because of that and even blamed them for what Kuvira's done.

@Korrazula I also wished for her to die. I think it was important for Korra’s development, but Kuvira definitely deserved to die. Also, how could anyone blame Su and Opal for Kuvira’s actions? Kuvira is her own person, and I really doubt that Su and Opal taught Kuvira how to be xenophobic. Also, Korra should not be blamed either, cause Korra didn’t cause the kingdom to fall and was too hurt to help. Also may I remind people that Kuvira volunteered for her job?

Because Su refused to accept Tenzin and Raiko' s idea of her being a permanent leader of the Kingdom and because of that stupid scene with doll house in the comic. That's why they blame them.

@Korrazula bad news for those people, that doesn’t make it their fault. Again, Kuvira is the way she is because. I’ve always found it weird how people try to say that it was her upbringing that made her this way, but her parents abandoned her only because she nearly killed her mom, which was justified! Also they didn’t really abandon her, because they just gave her to Su, who actually raised her pretty well and taught her to control her bending. Her not being able to play with dolls one time is such a stupid reason to blame it all on the way she was raised. Nobody taught her to hate non-earth kingdom people, and nobody taught her that it was okay to kill. That was all her. She is the way she is just because.
