After Mako, Varrick was the worst. He commited multiple crimes and never got punished!

The great thing about Varrick is that you never know what side he is on. Also he’s hilarious. And the only crime he committed wasn’t even that bad and it was to help his people

Other than that he cared for Zhu Li and by the time of book 4, Varrick started to respect Zhu Li and value her as a person. Not only that he recognized Kuvira misuse of the spirit vines and realized how dangerous they can be.

Exactly! He is really funny, is super morally ambiguous, and has a great character arc in Season 4

Varrick may have questionable morals, but he never crosses the line into full blown evil.

For some reason as a kid I always thought it was Julie, the girls name not Zhu Li

@AvatarPhoenixGrey2 Though I agree with what you said about him, that is also something that adds tohis character. he's that odd guy who turns out is conspiring to do something, then works for Kuvira, then is good again, etc.

I would say he is a businessman with a heart, he goes to the place whereever the profits come then when he realizes how wrong that side his and after he made sum profit he makes the switch, its honeslty one of the realistic decisions ever
