Why does everyone think Zuko is the bad guy in the avatar. Zuko just wants the avatar so his father can take him back because in this one episode his uncle talks about why he wants the avatar.

Iron retreating isn't bad, he saved many lives on both sides by doing it. Ozai is inhumane and detached from reality to want Iroh to give away more lives in attempt to win a stalemate and potentially lose.
Why you people keep responding to this person. This is why the post should to be locked now.
He needed his honor precisely in order to get the throne. Lol, even at the very end of the third season, he was madly hungry to put his ass on the throne and this was reflected in his missing last dialogue with Azula.
So you admit that the purpose of the Phoenix Plan was military targets? So what's the problem again?
Iroh launched a senseless siege and seriously hurt the Fire Nation simply because of his belief in destiny.
Iroh destroyed countless lives in this siege simply because of his belief in destiny.
Iroh only lifted the siege after killing his son (whom he sent to scout lol) so he didn't care about sons of other people.
And yes, personal problems categorically should not influence such decisions. This is an axiom.
So wait you don't like Iroh either?
Analyzing Iroh's actions during the show. Iroh's main problem is not even that he is a butcher general destroying countless lives in pursuit of his destiny. Iroh's main problem is that he, in the role of a war stopper, looks as flawed and hypocritical as possible.
If he really wanted to stop the war, he would take the throne himself and work with the elites.
If he really wanted to educate Zuko against the militaristic imperialist policies of the Fire Nation, then he could really do it all three years when he was literally the only person Zuko could rely on.
If he had stopped hoping for a destiny and started working with his head, then the death of all the Fire Nation soldiers who died during the comet could also have been avoided.
And every time when Zuko or Iroh's fans break their template, they just run away. As always, they have no arguments, only their emotions.
That is because they find you unreasonable and the fact that you literally misinterpret a pretty simple character. You seem to think that you are smart but it’s not working. This is somehow reminding me of Silent Hill.
I have arguments; my opponents have only their emotions caused by the break in their old pattern. :)
That doesn’t make sense but okay

I will remind everyone (and I mean everyone) that other users having different or opposing views is totally acceptable, and you should be respectful of that. Calling other users infantile, saying they have lost a few brain cells, or other being aggressive in your opposition is not appropriate. If you cannot come to an agreement on something, it is fine to simply agree to disagree and move on. If this should happen again, I suggest you take that option.
