Yea how is the great divide better than the boy in the ice burge. Tbitib introduces the main characters and creates the plot.

Avatar has no bad episodes IMO, just slightly boring/less good ones. So yeah, I would say it is good

Yes, sort of, but you could say that about almost any filler episode. Plus, I don't recall seeing this new side of Aang again (that's actually important to the plot).
