Hello everybody. I've had ideas pertaining to poisonbending for a while. It would not be a subskill unique to one bending art but rather a subskill of multiple bending arts and subskills. I'm just going to dive right in.

Waterbending

Waterbenders could bend any poison that has water in it or even polluted water that is hazardous enough. I first conceptualized this with a waterbending villain who used poisonbending to assassinate her opponents.

Plantbending

Plantbending is also a subskill of waterbending but this method of poison bending is different. One could also call this poisonous plantbending because it involves using plantbending on poisonous plants. There are many plants that are poisonous to humans. Some are so poisonous that you cannot even touch them or you might die. But some of the less poisonous plants, such as poison ivy and poison oak, will cause you to rash up and swell. But imagine if somebody shoved one of those plants down your throat with plantbending. This could also potentially be lethal.

Metalbending

The metalbending variant of poisonbending is something that we've already seen. A Red Lotus sentry metalbended mercury at Korra and also bent it to go straight inside of her body. As we all know, this forced her into the Avatar State and nearly killed her. Zaheer later told Korra that she definitely would have died if it weren't for her limitless power, so any other person would have been killed by the mercury poisoning.

Airbending

This last skill I've come up with is a lot more speculatory. I'm thinking that an airbender would be able to bend poison that is in a gaseous form. If Meelo can bend his farts then I don't see why they couldn't bend gas. I also showed airbenders funneling the gas in the picture but they aren't bending the gas; they are just using the air to redirect the gas which isn't gasbending or poisonbending. It's really hard to know if this is possible because no Air Nomad would ever use poison. However, after Harmonic Convergence, not all airbenders are Air Nomads so it's always possible.

I've also thought of a poison clan/society, which would probably be a group of villains, specifically assassins. In addition to including poisonbenders of all types that I have mentioned, it would also include non-bending assassins who use poisonous weapons to assassinate their opponents.
