I had posted before about my idea for a new Firebending form that I call "Cremationbending" (formerly "Ashbending"). For those that haven't seen this idea; Cremationbending is a Spiritual Sub Bending form of Firebending. The "Cremationbender" carries with them an Urn that hold the still ignited Ashes of a consenting individual (usually a family member or trusted friend). The Ashes burn with ghostly white flames.
A ritual of sorts is preformed that binds the Soul of the Dead to their own Ashes then to the Urn. After that; the Cremationbender connects his or her Soul to the Soul of the Ashes (referred to as "the Bounded"). The Cremationbender fuels their Cremationbending with their Firebending; drastically weakening their traditional Firebending. Cremationbenders can communicate with the Bounded and other Departed Souls.
The Avatar is forbidden from learning Cremationbending. It is forbidden to teach Crematonbending to the Fire Lord or the Royal Family.
Now that (I hope) you understand what "Cremationbenders" are; let's move onto their potential Techniques. (apologies as I am terrible at naming).
(Note: many Techniques that regular Firebenders can do are still used by Cremationbenders with exceptions like breathing Fire, generating Lightning, or Combustion):
Soul Flame Punch: Basic strike
Soul Flame Kick: another basic strike
Soul Ember "Snowfall": this techniques makes the Ashes look and fall similar to snow. After they surround a target; they reignite fully which can trap potential targets.
Swirling Soul Fire Trap: The name of the technique that traps a target after "Snowfall". (The Trap has been sprung.)
Burning Soul Twister: A Technique that forms a small twister of Soul Fire.
Soul Resonance: The Cremationbender communes with the Bounded Soul in such a way that their Souls synchronize. Truly fighting together as one.
Soul Resonance: Self Immolation: The Cremationbender cloaks their own body with Soul Fire. This acts much like armor. They cannot be hurt by their own flames.
I might add more but that'll be it for now. I hope you liked it! If there is anything you are confused about; let me know!
