Ok honey let me end your argument because what you take as a ''fact'' is literaly your opinion and I will show it NOW.

1- You say that Zutara is more popular because you show polls with social medias that very few people use and had vote, unlike me who used the most popular medias, youtube, amino fandom and reddit, you literaly search 4 polls that go with your point of view when I could do the same with Kataang, so not is not more popular even if you want to.

2- You say Zutara is better storywise which is completly your opioon and thats ok but its your opinion, Katara and Aang became friends at the beginning of the series, and Aang immediately developed an obvious crush on her, which later grew into a true love for her. Katara frequently gave him friendly kisses on the cheek.Aang's crush on her was made explicit, while Katara was told she will marry a powerful bender and had the appearance of an epiphany when Sokka casually described Aang as a powerful bender. During the battle in the Catacombs his earthly attachment to Katara prevented him from triggering the Avatar State. After being shot down by Azula and being revived by Katara's spirit water, Aang looked up at Katara and smiled at her weakly, indicating that he had not actually given her up.During the invasion, Aang kissed Katara on the lips before leaving to find and battle Fire Lord Despite this, the two were not a couple; Katara even refused Aang's romantic advances during an intermission of the play they were watching on Ember Island .However, they kissed passionately at the end of the series,beginning a romantic relationship. The continuation of the series marked by the release of the comic trilogy the promise saw Aang and Katara call each other "sweetie", demonstrating the growth of their relationship. Aang and Katara married in their later lives and had three children finally confirming the continuation of their romance.

While Katara and Zuko never invole romance in their feelings and didn't like the idea of being toguether.

I may be wrong but season 3 ep1 the first thing Aang sees when he wakes up is Katara who. was always tending to him replacing his bandages giving him healing sessions becuz she loves him cuz others could have but it was Katara who was doing it

I've heard all this before and have a million and one ways to not only prove you wrong but can counter it, but I've grown weary of this topic with people like you who refuse to accept the truth. Shipper denial I believe it's called. But I was formerly a Kataanger myself all the way through when I was younger, and a hardcore one at that, so I get it. It wasn't until I got older, got a better understanding of relationships, people, writing, and storytelling that, after watching the series again, saw that Zutara worked so much better, and what all the Zutara shippers were talking about and how it was not only so much better, but also how much Kataang fell short (but if that's what does it for you, cool). Yes, Zutara didn't happen, but it very, very, VERY easily could have. All the groundwork was there. The only reason it didn't was because the writers said no since they wanted to go with the "hero gets girl" trope. It's even been argued that Kataang was just a self-insert from Mike and Bryan since they both said that they based Katara off of girls they liked but didn't get with in high school, and since Mike looks just like adult Aang. And again, Bryke, the executive producer of the series even said Kataang felt forced and rushed, and the voice actors for Katara and Zuko who personify the characters were for Zutara. Writers make bad calls or the lesser of two good calls all the times, the number of bad or ruined franchises show this.

Katara gave little to no interest in Aang. Their relationship was basically mother/son, brother/sister. Yes, Aang had a crush on her, but we didn't really see anything from Katara's end. There were only 4 instances in the entire series. When she acknowledge that Aang was a powerful bender after Aunt Wu's prediction, when they supposedly kissed at the Cave of Two Lovers, when Aang kissed her before the invasion (after which she frowned and looked away), and their dance in the Fire Nation school. And after each and every instance, they're relationship went right back to the way it was before, as if nothing happened between them at all. Then during the last 30 seconds of the final episode, she's suddenly completely in love. Honestly, it would have been better if they ended the series shipless and just revealed that they got together in LoK. That would have been more realistic than pretending that the barely seen love story between a 12 year old and 14 year old that was primarily a mother/son brother /sister relations was an epic love story.

And speaking of LoK, we saw how poorly the Kataang family ended up being. Aang was a horrible father who greatly neglected Bumi and Kya while openly favoring Tenzin to the point that the siblings all became resentful of each other and of Aang. Plus, he was always leaving for Avatar duties. And Katara never spoke up about what Aang was doing to their family because she was always mothering and babying him and trying to keep him happy over what was important just like she did in ATLA, which also caused their kids to resent her a bit as well for not doing anything. Had Aang had someone who was more suitable to him, like Toph or something, they would give him the wakeup call he needed rather than what he wanted all the time, and it would have solved so much. Katara was such second fiddle to Aang that she didn't get a fraction of the recognition the rest of the GAang did, not even a statue, especially since she defeated Azula. She also completely changed as a person who loved going out and helping the world to a stay at home mom who became best known for being a great healer (something she literally fought the stereotype of). I could go on with numerous other drawbacks, but there's your Kataang happily ever after. A dysfunctional family with much resentment between kids and parents, much of which can be chalked up to Aang being a bad parent and him and Katara being mismatched. Oh, I'm not saying they were miserable or not happy, but they had a LOT of problems, many, if not most, can be traced back to why Kataang doesn't work as well as Zutara (please note that I said as well, not that it doesn't work).

Zuko and Katara though had the biggest connection out of anyone. They understood and related to each other more than anyone else, even Aang, and had the closest relationship. True, it didn't take a romantic turn, but it easily could have. And because of their compatibility and relatability, they would have had a much better relationship and not had many of the problems that the Kataang did. Their own problems, sure, but not as bad as Kataang.

I could go on with the many other ways Zutara works better than Kataang, but I'm getting a headache, so I'll close it with this last stuff. The links to those videos do a much better job explaining and providing evidence than I do, so you can just watch them and see what I mean (until you actually listen watch those videos, you'll only ever be all talk). But I'm going to guess you won't and will continue to bury your head in the sand and scream that Kataang is more popular when it's not. And provided the most popular media. Ha! You mean you SAID you saw them on the most popular media, videos, pics, etc, yet provided nothing, where I actually provided the results of the actual most popular art, stories, talks, videos, etc. And you cling to your one poll where Kataang won, forgetting just how big the internet really is, where Zutara drastically dominates polls in other areas (the ones I linked are just small examples since I stupidly didn't save the links, only the results). Not to mention the 33 poll results I posted that had just as many, if not more votes as the 200,000 you claim yours has. But even if that one is true and does have the most, that's still just one poll you're clinging to like a life preserver while ignoring the many others that Zutara dominates. And polls aside, you only have to actually look and you'll see how Zutara is the more popular. Again, Zutara carries the "fan-preferred couple trope". It doesn't get that trope for being less popular than it's rival.

Even when I was a hardcore Kataanger, I still very reluctantly admitted that Zutara was definitely the more popular of the two. It's sad that you can't even bring yourself to accept that much, but I found that this is the core to a lot of those toxic Kataangers' anger and lashing out, because they're pissed that even though Kataang is canon, Zutara remains more popular,which they can't stand since they wanted Zutara to fade away after Kataang became canon, but it had only remained strong and only grown in popularity. And again, Zutara is fighting against the Kataangers, the Anti-Zutarians, the canon purists, and the non-shippers who just pick what's canon, and it's still more popular. But hey, maybe one day you'll find yourself doing a 180 as well. Honestly, I don't care. Kataang is canon, Zutara is more popular, however you feel about either ship is irrelevant and subjective.

First of all, no Aang, Kya and Bumi don't have any recent for Katara second of all just because Aang had a hard relationships with His children does not means he had the same with Katara, in fact Aang and Katara are in a pretty good terms and in a healthy relationship with Aang, third buddy listen, Kaatang is more popular than Zutara and theres nothing wrong about it, even the Hard Cord Zutara shippers on the wiki and social medias ackowlege that Kataang is more popular than Zutara, fourth (since you are not going to ackowlege that Kataang is more popularand I really care tbh) Kataang is just plain better imo, Katara didn't show her love feelings so often because she herself said that in the middle of the war there was other things to think about, and even with the few interactions from her you could see their relationship with him was diferent than the others, because despite she always care about everyone on the gaang for her motherly nature with Aang was diferent, she was interest in find the love of a Man in her life and after the Fortune Teller was when she saw Aang in a diferent way in a romantic ambit, also considering kiss each other in the cave was KATARA idea and they actully kiss, if was confirn by Katara voice actor, also as you say we have their dance in the Fire Nation and others, this moments was the things that make their relationship diferent with the others and it wasn't just a mother-son relationship, also the end wasn't out of knowhere, Katara literaly consider Aang as a posible love interest from book one and confirn her feelings for Aang thougth the series, Plus she herself said that after the war the time for love and that was exactly what she did.

I don't dislike Zutara, in fact if Nick let the creators have their other book in the one Azula's redemption are would happend and Zutara too, I would completly be a Zutara shipper and I would say it could be even better than Kataang, But it didn't happend, Zutara happening at the end of book 3 would not have made any sense, Katara feelings for Zuko change after the souther raiders but for friendship and forgivness not for love unlike Kataang who had moments that were for ship evolution, Plus I like Zuko and Katara more as siblings relationships because in the search Zuko see how Sokka treat Katara as a sister and learn to do the same with Azula and Katara was the model that Zulo follow to treat her sister. Aldo idk why you trying to downplay Kataang romantic interactions saying they were few when Zutara had 0.

Also let's just forget the who is more popular argument because it does really not matter, theres ships that are very popular and not are nececeraly good.

I'm sorry but you're wrong, Zutara is the more popular, and there is plenty of evidence to prove it aside form what I provided, and what I did provide directly contradicts your claims of Kataang having more pics, stories, polls, videos, etc, because I showed you the actual numeric results that shows the difference in Zutara over Kataang. You can believe otherwise all you want, but the evidence clearly shows, and in more than what I just provided, even if you won't look at or accept it.

In any case, it was never my intention to get into an argument. I like debating, but not arguing, but I'm tired of this. I prefer to let people ship whoever they want started to feel like you were bashing and not get in the way of it. Different people like different things, and that's perfectly fine. I bear no ill will to Kataangers, and if they think it's better than Zutara, or if they even hate Zutara, that is perfectly fine as well. It's when people start dumping on other ships or show shipper rage or toxicity that things become a problem, which is really sad because it just ruins things for everyone (please not I'm not accusing you of this). That's why topics like this only cause problems, it draws in the haters and starts ship wars. It's no fun for anyone. People should be able to ship whoever they want without issue and for their own reason. We should all be able to get along.

Also, I never said that Kataang wasn't a success, nor did I say it was a bad ship. If that's the impression I gave, it was unintentional.

I agree; honestly, I never even though of Zutara as a possibility before I got into the online fandom; I could tell from the first episode that Kataang was going to happen. When I first heard of Zutara, I pretty sure I laughed at the idea because it just felt so odd to me. Of course, everybody is free to ship what they want and I've nothing against Zutara or Zutarians. Plus, I've always felt the reason that the "shipping war" won't stop is because shippers won't let it go. I mean, it's been, what, 12 years since the show ended? It's odd to me that after so long we're still rehashing the same arguments about Kataang vs, Zutara that we were all talking about back in 2008. Also, as to the argument about some people made romances not being developed, there's a simple reason for that; ATLA isn't a romantic series; the romantic elements were always a side issue, so of course there wss never going to be some long, super-developed relationship between any of the couples.
