The avatar first came about during the harmonic convergence at 9829 BG and the next one occurred 10,000 years latter at 171 AG. if we take each avatar's life span to be around 50 years considering how dangerous their life is (and considering that kyoshi lived for around 200 years and aang for 165 years) that would mean that there were only around 200 avatars. but we were repeatedly told there were around thousand avatar and even roku an avatar himself told to jeong jeong that he has mastered the elements a thousand times in a thousand life times.
is there a mistake somewhere or was this all an exaggeration or am i mistaken somewhere.
