I think even after Azula scared Chan off there was no way of them getting back together, and that after she burned down his parent’s house he will stay as far away from her at all cost.

That is very true which is why it probably wouldn't work.

I kinda feel bad for Chan.

I mean he's kind of the stereotypical douchebag popular boy.

He is, but he must have been in for a real treat when his parents got home( or at least what used to be their house).😂

That's where my fanon idea stems from. His dad is convinced that he's gone insane by doing that to their house (not believing that the princess did it) and has him committed to a mental health institution. The same one that Azula was sent to.

I'm really happy to see this post. Chanzula is one of my favourite ships and I really wish they ended up together. I think they would make a great couple if Chan learned to appreciate her for her power, instead of being scared by it. Since she loves him, she would never hurt him. I also wrote a fanon about them coming to terms and becoming a couple, so I'm looking forward to reading yours🙂

I saw Burdens of Blood and it seems like an awesome story, though, being the lazy reader I am, I haven't got around to it yet.
