^yeah 120 makes since but there are extenuating circumstances revolving the lives of the avatar. My guess would be a little higher

If it was 10000 year span, some died young and some lived for 200 years, then I think my guess is reasonable.

^^ Some avatar’s did die young but some of them where really old when they died and most avatar’s probably did live up to a normal lifespan, Aang was 166 at death, Kyoshi was 230, Yangchen was 150, Roku was 70 at death, the avatar before Szeto looks old and I wager he died at the age of 70+ years old. I bet a lot of Air nomad avatars died old because of their extremely healthy & spiritual lifestyle. Also 120 is just an educated guess so I’m saying there is ‘around 120’ avatar’s, not exactly, i would say there is between 100 - 140 avatars, since 120 is halfway between those two numbers I put that as my educated guess.

Ok I just did some number crunching and taking into account that together Aang and Kyoshi most likely take up 4% of the entire avatar lineage the range 100-150 range is most probable (taking into the account of cases such as kuruk and kyoshi)- @Shingeki no Ymir i see your point now-

^^ if you add on Yangchen, Roku & Szeto’s Predacessor that’s roughly 8%.

@Got em TwT no offence but your answer really isn’t reasonable, if you did the math then you would realise that it’s way too high of an avatar count, even 1000 is too high, for there to be 1000 avatars then most avatar’s would of had too of died at roughly 10 years old, and how unlikely is it that every avatar dies at 10 years old, Yangchen, Kyoshi & Aang all lives 150+ years old. Roku & Szeto’s Predacessor where old when they died, when you see the avatar cycle in the scene where Korra’s bending is restored every single avatar is an adult. So 1000+ avatars is impossible, so your answer is far beyond unreasonable, again no offence.
