So I've been thinking about this a lot: In Book 1 Episode 7 when Aang finds the burnt down forest he says, "It's the avatars job to protect nature".

Now the LOK world is modeled a lot after the 1920s. There is an industrial revolution being headed by Cabbage Corp, Sato, and Varrick. As we know, when industry and manufacturing grow too big, they exploit nature and hurt the environment. I can't imagine LOK moving in that direction without it being a major conflict to the balance of the world and to Korra and Asami's relationship. Can the avatar protect nature while allowing industry to exist?
