<p>If the mother of faces can take away your memories as well as restore what she took back to you, can she give you fake ones?

<p>I believe that's implied, because Ursa seemed to have a lot of alternate memories--her name as Noriko, having "heard" about what happened to Ursa but not knowing she was actually living those events, etc. The idea seems to be that faces are linked to identity, which are linked to memories, so the Mother of Faces can change your memories just as easy as your face.
