<p>Since Unalaq and Vaatu merged, is there a permanent Dark Avatar cycle now?

<p>Raava stated that Vaatu can't be destroyed since the light can't live without the darkness. I'm very curious how Korra copes with the stronger getting Vaatu inside her, like Raava appeared back im UnaVaatu. Maybe that's a story for a comic, she would have to deal with this very quickly. And I think she can't just lock him away, can she? The Harmonic Convergence can't help with this

<p>UnaVaatu was destroyed while in the Dark Avatar State, so the Dark Avatar Cycle was broken before it even began.

I don't think Vaatu will return until the next Harmonic Convergence and probably not as a Dark Avatar before hand. Might make Fanfic fuel however.

<p>I think someone would specfically have to take Vaatu out of Raava like Korra had to, except during the Harmonic Convergence. Of course that could be the plot of the next Harmonic Convergence, with some Unalaq like idiot trying to free the dark spirit to bring balance to the world or something.

<p>Since Vaatu is supposed to be trapped inside of Raava and too weak to regenerate for the time being, i don't think there is; he would have needed to reincarnate into a new person for that to happen.
