I have been thinking of a community of mudbenders or something like this on these southern EK islands between the southpole and the EK. Maybe it's a place where it rains a lot and so the people (if they were earth benders) had to adopt waterbending styles to bend the mud better; and if they were water benders they would have probably adopted earthbending styles. Maybe it was a community with both benders and they brought their bending closer to each other.

Another idea I had is quite similar to the first one. Maybe in one of the FN colonies, probably in the southeastern ones, there would have emerged a lavabending society, but this is more unlikely as firebenders cannot lavabend. Regardless, earthbenders could have adopted firebending skills to master lavabending.

The mudbending seems cool and I like how it represents the connection between two nations kind of like the colonies.

As for the lavabending one, I don't really understand how this would work, since lavabending really isn't that practical outside of battles, so it seems hard for me to see how a whole civilization could be created over something used for battle only
