<p>I guess Siege of the North is when I finally realized this wasn't just another silly action/adventure series that might occasionally show hidden depths. This was a fully fledged mythos where the plot was going to actually matter, the characters were actually going to develop, there would actually be in depth world building, & the show would actually make some intelligent commentary. Though I certainly did not object to the good action/comedy. Also, I really liked bending being grounded in martial arts & the physical "elements," rather than characters just vaguely gesturing & unleashing whatever crazy powers they wanted. </p> <div class="quote"><i>Who was your favorite character and why?</i></div>
<p>It wasn't until Book 3 that I really acknowledged any character as my favorite, & that was Zuko. </p> <div class="quote"><i>What was your favorite episode and why?</i></div>
<p>Probably the 4 part Sozin's Comet, since it brought everything full circle & had a bit of everything the series did well from comedy to action to character development & so on. </p> <div class="quote"><i>What scene in the series gave thug at your heart strings? <p>I never cry at TV shows, that said the closest I got was the end of Iroh's segment in <i>Tales of Ba Sing Se</i>. </p> <div class="quote"><i>What was the most epic moment to you and why?</i></div>
<p>Aang going Avatar State against Ozai & just blowing him the Hell away. It's pretty much the most powerful bending we would see until <i>Book 3: Change</i> paid homage to it. </p> <div class="quote"><i>What was the most shocking moment to you and why?</i></div>

<p>Well, it's been a time sink with me joining this Wiki & doing 2 RPs based on it, a one-off fan fiction, & a larger fan fiction universe. Other than that, not much. I was in high school when it started, & I'm really not the type to make life choices based on TV shows anyway. </p>

<p>1. I don't really remember, tbh. It was definitely sometime in the last decade. </p><p>2. Again, don't remember. </p><p>3. How perfect everything was. The pacing, the humor, the seriousness, all of it. I also liked how unique the premise was. </p><p>4. Zuko, because of his complexity as a character overall. Sokka, Momo, Iroh, Azula, Suki, and Toph are close seconds/thirds/fourths/fifths/sixths/sevenths, however. </p><p>5. There are a multitude of episodes I love. I can't really pick one. </p><p>6. Not really. I'm not that type of person. But like Neo, The Tale of Iroh had my eyes water a bit, tbh. </p><p>7. The Day of Black Sun and Sozin's Comet. Awesome examples of mid-season specials and series finales. </p><p>8. Finding out firebenders can lightningbend. Well, not really, I just couldn't pass up the oppurtunity for a shocking pun <small>(*crickets chirp*)</small> Anyway, next question... </p><p>9. I never had a favorite pair in particular, but I always thought Sokka and Suki were a perfect match. </p><p>10. Avatar is still my favorite show, and because of it Avatar Wiki wouldn't exist. There's a thinker. </p>

I don't think anybody is as universally beloved like Iroh.</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;line-height:22px;">What was your favorite episode and why?</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;line-height:22px;">Zuko Alone is my favorite, the insight into Zuko's past and the almost tear jerking ending where Zuko is just detested by everyone in the village and he rides off into the sunset almost like a western. It's still one of the most powerful imagery in the show.</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;line-height:22px;">What scene in the series gave thug at your heart strings? Did you cry? If so, do you still cry or feel when you watch it?</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;line-height:22px;">When Zuko reunited with Uncle Iroh, enough said.</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;line-height:22px;">What was the most epic moment to you and why?</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;line-height:22px;">Aang entering the Avatar state and annihilating Ozai, that entire fight was the most epic thing put on TV.</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;line-height:22px;">What was the most shocking moment to you and why?</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;line-height:22px;">The Fall of Ba Sing Se, I've rarely seen a time when the heroes of a show actually lose so to see Aang pretty much dead, the Earth Kingdom falling to the Fire Nation, and Zuko betraying Iroh, was pretty much the Empire Strikes Back of my childhood.</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;line-height:22px;">What was your favorite romance and why?</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;line-height:22px;margin-bottom:0px!important;">Kataang, it was so fucking cute aaahhh.</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;line-height:22px;margin-bottom:0px!important;">And finally, if it did, how much has Avatar influenced and shaped you in your life?</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;line-height:22px;margin-bottom:0px!important;">Avatar inspired me to get into writing and drawing, animation and philosophy. It's one of those shows that gets me nostalgic everytime I watch it. It makes me feel like a kid again.</p>

<p>What I loved about Zuko was just how perfectly done his characterization throughout the series was. Besides from Aang, he was the one who defined the show in many ways. He was beautifully done. </p>
