<p>Yasuko. After her grandmother, who died via overdosing on fire. </p>

<p>Why would they name the kid after her and not Korra's mother? Or a mix of both, or maybe they should stop naming others after other characters. </p>

<p>And we also know the name of who to blame for Mako's fickleness ("Naughty Mako!  You take after your grandfather!") and the family tendency towards heavy eyebrows. </p>

<p>The people of Kyoshi island are representative of Japanese culture, and they're from the Earth Kingdom.  Also I think most Fire nation names are not related to Japanese. </p>

<p>Most Fire Nation names aren't actual Japanese names—I at least somewhat retract "pseudo-Japanese," as it turns out that "Zuko" is <i>not</i> a pseudo-Japanese name but an actual Filipino one—but most characters <i>with</i> Japanese names seem to be Fire Nation. </p>

Either Fire Nation or Kyoshi Islander. Just those 2 places for some reason.
