<p>This. I'm not saying it can't be done, but it's immensely hard to translate a TV show into a movie simply due to the difference in running times. </p>

<p>i think that if airbender were to be tried again then the following would need to happen. </p><p>1.The movie would have to start from square one due to the backlash it recived from both fans and moviegowers alike. </p><p>2. all new cast, crew, and even a new director if possible, as the current cast i belive some are busy with other progents and such, noah ringer the exeption (as i know of, the only other film he worked on was cowboy's vs alians.) Due to most of the cast outgrowing thier roles. </p><p>Bottom line: They will need to start over from sqare one and mabey even rename it the legend of aang (in some countries, the show and movie was called the legend of aang.) With a new cast and crew, producers ,and a new director for that matter and a new script and/or start back from sqauare one. Another option would to make a korra film (less likley to happen) that would be a standalone film series mabey 1 movie for book 1 and 1 or 2 movies for book 2, especially books 3 and 4. from what is going on, i think another airbender film is very unlikley at this point since it has been five years since the film has been released. </p>

I don't want another airbender film with M. night shyamalanladingdoung involed.

<p>sorry, i did not make my point clear, at the end i had said that another airbender film would be "unlikly" and i agree while it did have some good, i agree that it could of been better, i think the situation that any idea's were not written and not presented correctly and i agree, some of the actors could use some work, but remember some of the actors were completly new to acting but should of recived information about the characters, i think that the script was the main issue, it it noticible that the script was not written like it could have been written, i saw the transcipt and the dioluge was pretty bad, Even if you have good actors it can still come out bad. however there have been cases with good actors and bad script that some movies were not as bad. Bad script+Some good actors not all = Mostly bad writing in the movie, The dioluage was really choppy in my opinon. So that is that enough rambling and more with my modified post. </p><p>

<p>Not a chance in hell. </p><p>Shyamalan has made good movies in the past (the Sixth Sense comes to mind), and some not-so-good-but-still tolerable ones (Signs, The Village, Lady In The Water). His record is pretty much hit or miss, but there are worse directors out there. My opposition to his helming of a new Avatar-related project is the fact that he didn't even attempt to make a good film the first time around. It was an all-around bad movie...the casting, the dialogue, the plot, and frankly, I didn't even think the special effects were overwhelmingly great. I don't think he even gave serious consideration to his source material before he started filming. Many talented directors have come up short with the critics before, but at least they gave it an honest try. I truly believe that The Last Airbender was more of a live-action parody of what was otherwise a brilliant original concept. He took something that was painstakingly created by others, threw it on the floor, and pissed on it. The fact that Shyamalan is in fact NOT a terrible director only added insult to injury by showing us all that he could have made the film so much better than it was. Someone who has such disrespect for the work of other creative minds doesn't deserve a second chance to do the same thing again. If M. Night Shyamalan wants to direct an original film of his own creation, that's fine with me. It may even be pretty good. And even if it isn't, at least he's not screwing things up for others. But the simple fact is that there will never be a sequel or a reboot of The Last Airbender because the first film was so bad. Shyamalan has essentially chiseled his name into the tombstone of a potentially epic film franchise. And that is truly unfortunate for those of us who really looked forward to it. </p>
