<p>The Last Airbender's story was more or less fine (it was essentially a bare bones book one ATLA condensed into the length of one movie), just the acting was terrible. The movie definitely pales in comparison to the animated show, but, the core story was still good, in fact, when I saw the movie in theater, before I ever watched the animated show, I could tell this movie had a fantastic story trying to get out, just it was buried in horrendous acting. But I saw that quality about it, and it was good.
</p><p>Dragonball Evolution...I couldn't bring myself to watch it by the time I saw the trailer.

<p>Yeah, i probably would like the story of the movie more if i watched it before the cartoon, but watching it after the cartoon made the movie seems too rushed and some parts don't even make sense.
</p><p>I didn't watch the trailler but i was really excited when i watched DBE, but after watching it i decided to never agin watch a movie adaptation of a cartoon. But then they made Rurouni Kenshin.

<p>It is. There are some stuff they don't explain but the story and the fights are amazing. If i have to say there is something bad in the movie, i'd say it's the japanese things like there's a kid in the movie that are always screaming(japanese men sometimes have a nice voice, women and children have too as long a they're not screming if they are it's irritating) and the way the main character is in the middle of a fight with a very strong opponent and he just keep looking at the fudging ground. Aside from that it's a masterpiece if you haven't watched it you should. But watch it dubbed(i take you are from an english speaking country) because in japanese their voices are irritating.

</p><p>But in all my years of existence i never saw a character being so decharacterized as Goku was in that movie. This goes for the other characters as well.
</p><p>That's why i like seeing the fans making projects for DBZ movies. Some of them have real nice effects and the actors are good fighters, altough they need some acting lessons. But i doubt there will be anything better than Dragonball: Abridged.

<p>To be honest, I don't see what's the bizz with live-adaptations anyway. What's so cool about seeing a real-life actor try and fail to accurately represent the character you love and cherish? What makes meat-y animation better than drawn animation?
