@Winter77 It was a cheap subplot thrown in last minute by the writers so their underviewed show wouldn't fade into obscurity after it had finished. The only reason the first comic did so well was because of this pandering. The art and writing of "Turf Wars" are far inferior to those of the ATLA comics, and the writing of "Ruins of the Empire" is just as dull. Once the Korrasami train has run out of steam the LOK comics are in big trouble.

This ship has been running for 5 years now and is showing no sign of going out of popularity. Even with amazing shows like Steven Universe and She-Ra that have expanded on Queer Representation Korrasami and the Legend of Korra as a whole is still viewed positively by both Queer people and none queer people.

If you don't like the pairing, that's fine. No one has says you have to agree with anyone here but the majority has spoken and the pairing is still as popular as it was back in 2014. Contrast this with the Voltron Series which ended in 2018, despite still having many fans the show has largely faded out of popular conscience. Korra is still being talked about and analyzed for it's themes, story as well as it's endgame ship.

It's a flawed show, but I would argue that it's still a Great series with complex characters such as Korra, Asami, Tenzin and Lin, well-rounded villains (minus Unalaq) and engaging plots. This series has had plenty of steam left in it and 5 years in it's still going strong. Love it or hate it, The Legend of Korra and Korrasami are here to stay.
