<p style="margin-bottom:1em;margin-top:0px!important;">What was the area called for Aang in book 1 when he exclaimed he was in the spirit world?  In Korra, and even later on in A:tla, we see that the spirit world has different terrain and landmarks, even inhabitants, than the material world so was Aang simply in a state of limbo?  Or was it simply too early to expand upon the spirit world at that time so you guys kept it simple at that point in time?  Can spiritual people, such as Iroh, also achieve this state if they wanted to?  And lastly, how does Wan Shi Tong fit into this area?  Is he just an anomaly among beings to where he can exist in both material and spiritual planes simultaneously or is he just a very powerful spirit?</p> <p>

<p>Yes, Aang did see a vision of Toph in the swamp. We figured she probably ran away to the swamp once in a while when she was a kid, since it is close to her home town of Gaoling. </p>
