<p>A metallic liquid that is poison, I'm pretty sure that Korra was poisoned with mercury. Yes they could of used other heavy metal poisons, however most don't look "metalic" they have various colors and textures and effects. The reason I'm sure they just called it "poison" was censoring.

<p>Since it was Mercury, I think when Korra recovers she will have enhnced Waterbending, blue hair, and an IQ of 300!

<p>Since it is mercury. The duration of it in her body plus the added adrenaline rushes and battle injuries, she should probably look worse after two weeks but I'm sure she'll recover maybe using the spirit water leading to the first conversation Korra has with her cousins.

<p>I thuoght the only metalbenders were the ones taugth by toph and her daughters, when did some join the red lotus or were they waterbenders

<p>Well couldn't one of those students continue teaching other earthbenders and one of those students be one of the few or many metalbenders that joined the Red Lotus. </p>

<p>mercury is metallic so yes the poison is. I on the other hand wish it was water-based so poisonbending could be a thing but the metallic thing was fine.

<p>Well I guess so long as it has some water a waterbender could bended, just like Katara and/or Toph could bend mud as it is made from the two elements they can bend also Katara bended ink in her Zuko episode. </p>

<p>We should probably note in a Trivia or something that mercury is the first "pure metal" than can be metalbend. Historically, other metals had Earth-based impurities to be bent. Perhaps the metal has to be liquid state (or made malleable via the impurities) to be bent? Or we can just state mercury is an exception to the "impurities" rule?
