She has expressed dislike for the Earth Queen in the past, but she said she only wanted her to "step aside" not "die"

I'm not 100% sure whether she would see this as a good or bad thing.

I don't think she has enoght political power and people to take over but i believe that the earth kingdom will b ebroken into differents minor contrys but will still be the earth nation!

I'm thinking that, as she hears about the looting and rioting and all the various other things that happen in a destabilized city can't be mentioned in a family show, she's saying to herself "I wanted her gone, but not like this!"

Just to be clear, is the Earth Queen confirmed to be dead? Or did she just lose consciousness? Zaheer seemed pretty confident that she was gone, but I don't know for sure.

yes, one of the people who worked on the animatics confirmed to me on tumblr that she was, indeed, killed.

i'm guessing that they had to make it look like that b/c that's the harshest they could get for a family show. i'm pleasantly surprised that they were able to get away with what they were. less of a "kids' show" that way.

Ah, okay. Well, that's a surprise. And yeah, what Zaheer did to her was interesting. What he did sort of seemed like the equivalent of bloodbending, in the sense that he bended an element within the human body.

Anyway, I agree with The Air Nomad Critic. I bet she feels pretty remorseful for wishing that the EQ would "step aside"; her wishes were granted indeed.

Shes probably glad that the Earth Queen is down but worried about the chaos ensued. She wanted someone other than an king or queen, likely an president or council like republic city

Zaofu will probably have to raise security 24/7. With people embracing anarchy, Suyin must protect her city a all costs. It is probably the only wealthy city located in the EK at this point.

If Zaheer's ultimatum involved the Northern Air Temple, Su would most likely mobilize her family/forces and help Korra protect the New Air Nation (for Opal's sake).

She's probably remorseful in the way that it happened. When I heard of the Red Lotus' plan last week I sort of thought of the Russian Empire's demise and I thought of a Cold War scenario for the Bending World. However I really don't know how Korra is going to stabilize anything resembling the Earth Kingdom anymore as I don't know how many citizens of Ba Sing Se much less of the Kingdom are going to accept a new monarch and I'm pretty sure a constitutional monarchy won't be good enough anymore for these people just like it was in France. So we may have a scenario were there is just an 'Earth Nation' and we get Zaofu and Omashu becoming/regaining sovereignty and independence from the Earth Kingdom as well as the formation of new states like the Republic/Commonwealth of East Ba Sing Se and the Kingdom of West Ba Sing Se, the Independent State of Kyoshi, etc.
