<p>Hm, it's hard to make a whole city based on lightning since it isn't practical for architecture (obviously). But I think we have seen groups of people joining together who share common bending abilities. Like you said, the Sun Warriors (true firebending), Foggy Swamp warriors (waterbending in their own style), the Metal Clan, Sandbenders... I can think of a few more: Yakone's very small bloodbending clan, powerplant workers who use lightning, of course air nomads,  the Dai Li, Kyoshi warriors (well now I'm thinking of groups who share just common abilities in general). </p><p>Omg, what about a bloodbending city!?!?!? </p>

<p>I don't think they would be all public about their bloodbending, however what about combustionbenders they to me seem like the next subgroup we could see for the Fire Nation as I'm sure they exist. </p>

<p>I don't see why not. As we have seen it thus far, lightning is still a fairly crude element, really only made up of two moves. It would be fascinating, especially in a modern setting, to see lightning/electricity manipulation be refined and expanded the way metalbending has with the Metal Clan, perhaps even resulting with a few new subskills under lightning itself. </p><p>Same for combustionbending. Those third-eye tattoos didn't come out of thin air, and the concept is much more Indian/Hindu than what is normally seen in the Fire Nation. A subgroup or subnation could easily be behind P'Li and Combustion Man. Perhaps those two were banished from wherever combustionbending comes from for abusing their powers... </p>

<p>Maybe since electricity is related to radio transmission and magnetism they could probably develop skills that could use these phenomena. </p><p>That is actually what I was thinking I'm not sure the "Combustion people" would allow a mercenary into their ranks at lease knowingly. </p>

The whole third-eye thing is steeped in the Hindu religion, so I'd imagine the originators of the skill were pretty spiritual, so either the combustionbenders we've seen are outsiders who learned the skill, or are natives who were banished for abberant behavior. Either way, I can't blame them for being secretive: such a skill could be disasterous if too many people learned it. </p>

<p>Well I have yet to see earthbenders that can bend people's bones (you know because of the calcium) so I don't think the creators want another group of benders that can bend people's biomass. </p><p>A Hindu based people? Could they maybe related to Guru Pathik! Or has it been said what was his nationality from among the four nations yet? </p>

<p>I don't think they've specified his nation, only that he was a spiritual brother to the Air Nomads, which implies no real blood relation. Seeing as though combustion seems to be closely linked to chakra, a concept intimately familiar to Guru Pathik and relatively foreign to the rest of the Avatar world, there could very well be a connection. </p>
