<p>Eiskatze: </p><p>Since we don't know what the real motives of the Red Lotus are it is hard to say if they are true villians or well-intentioned extremists.  My bet is on the latter.  If that is the case, Su could being a member and not contradict her morals, hence not villianize Toph's daughter.   </p><p>My personal theory has been that the Red Lotus want to crown Korra queen of the whole world once they dispose of the current rulers.  That is why they have avoided killing any leaders until they get to Korra.  If Korra is taken to Ba Sing Sa, they can kill the Earth Queen, save Korra (and get on her good side), while declaring they want her to rule.  If this is the case, then Su or anyone would have good reason to join the Red Lotus, they want the avatar to stop being a bystander and take a more hands on approach.  Remember, Zaheer said that overthrowing current rulers was just half of his plan to "plant the seeds for a new world".  Why would they need Korra for it? </p>

<p>Well, the avatar is a big influence on the world. My guess would be that they want to use her much like Ba sing Se/Long Feng used Kuei before Aang came along... Korra would essentially be "Their figurehead". To those who would be angered/outraged by the killing/undoing of the queen; Korra would be used to keep order, convince/reassure/whip everyone into submission. Then again, I doubt the outright assassination of a queen would make it through censorship, so maybe they'd capture the queen and make her "disappear". -shrug- But having Korra on their side would likely be a great help to their plan, in terms of having an already well-known restorer-of-balance in their group. I think without the backing of the Avatar in some way, it would be more of an uphill climb for them to carry out their plans. </p><p>I like your theory, though. :D It's fun to see all the different ideas people come up with. </p><p>

<p>I've heard this theory too often </p><p>Zaheer wants ALL monarchy taken down, not just the Earth QQueen </p><p>Su thinks the Earth Queen is horrible, but doesn't say anything about or against monarchy. ALOT of characters including team avatar hate the Earth Queen, its nothing suspicious </p>

<p>After The Ultimatum, I'm leaning towards this being false, but we do still have 2 more episodes left in Book 3, so I'm not going to jump to that conclusion just yet for the sake of anyone who still believes she's with the Red Lotus. </p>

<p>Nick posted an teaser for "enter the void" on their channel </p><p>Suyin wears guard armour and says her primary goal is to take down the Red Lotus whos threatening "everyone they love". Korra offers to sacrafice herself despite everyones "NOPE NOPE NOPE" </p><p>Su's contributions are too much, and I cant increase my confidence over 100%. Her job is an DANCER yet shes sending more secuity than Lin </p>

<p>For a while, I thought that Su was part of the Red Lotus because of that Circus picture... </p><p>...then I remembered that P'li is the tallest member of the Red Lotus. There is no way that could be Zaheer.  </p>

I'm feeling a lot better about her now.
