<p>Clearly we know that Ming-Hua has to use a psychic bending technique due to the absence of arms, but what happened? Did she lose her arms during the kidnapping attempt 13 years ago? Or does anyone have another possible theory?

<p>Fair point, Darjeeling. In fact, watching the scene where P'Li was rescued in "Harm's Way" again, it looks like Ming-Hua is using her feet to aid her in battle. It almost looks like she incorporated earthbending techniques into her waterbending, but that's probably inaccurate. </p> </div> <p>It actually states that the Red Lotus members devolped a vagabond style of bending, incorperating all types of different techniques. </p>

<p>It's mentioned in the art book as well that she was born without arms; there's a picture of the Red Lotus members when they were younger, and the notes clarify that it isn't canon, since Ming-hua has arms in the picture.
