<p>How on earth is he lavabending.....Its been confirmed that only avatars can do that, because of fire (the immense heat of lava) and earth (because lava is just superheated earth.) Hopefully they dont come up with some stupid idea. I also wonder who sparky sparky boom lady is..... These new villains look awesome and the fight seens look intense. I hope Zuko shows us some reall kick-butt firebending. Hopefully by now he is at peace, and can generate lightening. I wonder what the airbending subskill will be....... Earth Queen looks like a terrible person (a good character tho) just like president raiko. So pumped for book 3! (Also wonder how the other airbenders came to possess their bending. Oo and BUMI IS AN AIRBENDER (or bryke is trying to trick us)!!!!! </p>

Lava is still earth just melted earth. so the lavabender is technically a earthbender.

Possibly because the liquid earth feels so alien to earthbenders considering its qualities that set it apart from earth. But again maybe some breakthrough was found like toph and metalbending </p>

<p>Perhaps said lavabender pulled and Iroh and observed waterbenders, specifically their ability to change the phase of their element. </p>

<p>Technically its earth and heat that make lava. Seeing as though waterbenders can heat up their element or cool it down, maybe its not that big a stretch that earthbenders can do the same given the right training. Especially since the lavabender in the trailer seemed to be making heated earth and lava from normal earth rather than manipulating pre-existing lava. </p>

<p>Avatar Extras needs to be taken with a grain of salt. It has been wrong on occasion. </p>
