This might sound stupid but just listen. In ATLA Iroh was the only known REGULAR human that could see into the spirit world, when he got captured In the Winter Soltice Part 1 he saw Aang riding Fang and the earthbenders that captured him never did. Also Zhao said he had heard of Iroh's journey into the spirit world. So Iroh was the only REGULAR human we know of that could see spirits and enter the spirit world and what can Jinora do? The exact same. She saw the dragonfly bunny spirits when nobody else could and SHE led Korra into the spirit world. Something not even her HIGHLY spiritual father could do. Connection? Now before you say "thats impossible we saw Iroh in Book 2 of Korra." Correction. We saw his spirit. He had left his physical body behind in the material world. Plus, we saw the past Avatar spirits talk to Aang in the spirit world all the time. Does that mean him and all the other Avatars weren't the same person. No. I think Iroh had two spirits inside him. His own spirit and another spirit(quite like Raava or Vaatu but not the same) that gets reincarnated. This is just a theory. Feel free to agree or disagree.

the your emotions become your reality is what I meant when I said that. and if some "enlightening spirit" traveled that would make Iroh a sort of mini avatar which doesn't make any sense. Not to mention that the avatar isn't the only person in the avatar world who can cross into the spirit world. But that's aside the point.
I am in agreeance with it soesnt make any sense. A lot of other people could travel in and out of the spirit world. Its more based on a persons spiritual connection and not some "spirit avatar" that goes soul to soul.

im guessing the next book will be about humans traveling in the spirit world and apirits traveling in the human world. it will definitly make for some good episodes!

what about humans moving into the spirit world and they build a sort of "spirit realm city" in that city humans and spirits live together in harmony and marriage between humans and spirits is common and they create a new being called a crossbreed half human and half spirit.

Not all spirits hate humans. We have seen a lot of them help out humans, i dont think spirits will want humans to go into the spirit world mainly because emotions control what happen. We have light and dark in all spirits which helps for a balance in the spirit world, but humans are emotional which would cause for a miss balance. The only humans that would be able to go to the spirit world would be emotional stable like the avatar and Iroh.

The portals are over so the spirits are going to have to get along with the humans. At least that's how it sounded in that last little speech Korra gave at the end of book 2. I mean, you can't just have spirits in the human world without some humans in the spirit world, can you?

what kind of idiot requires you to need a passport to portal to the spirit world? if Korra could get away with going to republic city without having the passport i am 100% she dose not have and being the avatar has nothing to do with any of it so i'm pretty sure that anybody can just walk through the portals and explore.
