<p>I have a qyestion about their fight.While Unalaq wasn't in the Spirit World,why didn't Korra use that specuial waterbending technique to destroy him??She didn't want him to grow inside of her or she felt like she didn't have the time to do that?
</p><p>Also do you think that it is possible that if she locked Vaatu is the Tree of Time during the Harmonic Convergence he could be released again?

<p>If he got locked up in the Tree of Time, at one point in time someone would release him somehow. that's what always happens. LOL

<p>I think Neo Bahamut has a point .It really did seem like all she tried to do before Vaatu fused was use the same method Wan used. Because....well, why not? If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
</p><p>And I don't think that Vaatu wasn't creative enough to escape early before the Harmonic Convergence. I think he realized that after Wan beat him, it wasn't just him vs. Raava anymore. It was him vs. Raava and the Avatar. He knew he had to even the playing field, so he waited for someone bad enough to come around so they could fuse like Raava and Wan.

vaatu ''couldn't'' escape from the ToT before HC. he needed the amplified spirit energy from the open portals to escape.

<p>Here is why I said what I did about Vaatu:
</p><p>We are ALSO told that, should Raava die, we have to wait 10,000 years until she comes back. But they found a way around that. Now, a cynical view on this is that the good guys always get to cheat. But you could also argue that Vaatu could have found a similar loophole, & simply didn't bother to try.
</p><p>As far as the Avatar goes, that is a good point. As far as we know, there is no shortcut to becoming an Avatar--it has to take place during Harmonic Convergence.
