At this point, as far as the whole love triangle issue is concerned, I am both agitated and confused at the current state of affairs. So at this point, Korra effectively has convienient amnesia in regards to her and Mako's current relationship status; Mako may or may not be intending to date Asami again; and Asami is once again becoming the third wheel of this whole thing.

I really don't know where they are going with this, and in this particular case, that is not a good thing. This isn't some interesting twist that leaves me wondering with baited breath about what will happen next, this is just a load of crap that leaves me wondering "Why are we doing this again?"

Seriously writers, make up your mind. Either stick with Mako and Korra and work to actually develop it, or have Mako and Asami hook up and stick with it. This back and forth you're doing isn't interesting or engaging, it's just tedious, irritating, and distracting.

I seriously don't want to focus so much on the romantic subplots of this series, but the writers seem utterly dedicated to forcing it down our throats. The whole issue was resolved, for better or worse depending on who you ask, last season, and this season should have spent whatever alloted time dedicated to the romantic subplot actually developing the relationship between them more, not hitting the reset button.

I just... I really don't get where they are going with this... I want to like this series, I really do, and a lot of elements of it are really good, but this whole love-triangle thing that they are determined to throw at us is simply too distracting. As much as I want to ignore it, it's just too forced into the story to simply be ignored.

I also feel like I should make it clear regarding my opinions of the characters: I don't hate any of them. I don't hate Korra, though she was acting rather, um, abusive this season. I don't hate Mako, although he is once again becoming an indecisive lunkhead. And I don't hate Asami, even though I have to question just why she thought it a good idea to try and hook back up with Mako in the first place. The thing is, this is not their fault, not any of them. The people writing them, on the other hand...
