<p>Okay, so I always really liked Asami's look when she first appeared in the series. Her eyes were really distinctive and kind of exotic from the classic anime characters you usually see in any anime and the avatar series. It was rare and it was a pretty look. Â
</p><p>Anywho, as the second season started, I noticed the creators made a <i>huge </i>change. I couldn't put my finger on it until someone pointed it out. I hope I'm not the only one, but who else noticed it? Do you like it? Why or why not?

<p>it wasn't the creators. the second season, with the exception of beginnings and all new episodes aired from now on, were animated by studio pierrot, instead of the usual studio mir. they clearly can't, or just don't, do as good a job as mir.

<p>I've noticed that Studio Pierrot really seems to have a hard time drawing Asami. I don't think she's been on-model once this whole season. Korra fluctuates from scene to scene (but boy, does it get bad at times). Iroh and Lin in Peacekeepers were downright cringeworthy. Makes me wonder if the new characters like Unalaq and Varrick are <i>really</i> supposed to look as they appear, or if they've been off-model this whole time.
</p><p>Man, I can't wait until we lose the dead-eyed (and sometimes cross-eyed) characters and get back to Mir. Pierrot's animation (or rather, lack thereof in most talking scenes) has really pulled me out of what otherwise would have been an amazing season.
