<p>Honestly, there is no logical explanation for the bison to suddenly appear and thrive in TLOK. They all just popped back into existence for the good of only TLOK's story, not ATLA's story. In ATLA, it is found out by everyone that the bison became extinct after the Air Nomad Genocide. Even Long Feng stated himself that he thought the bison were extinct, until they saw Appa, the last sky bison. Now, it does say in the page "Flying bison," that after the Hundred Year War, Aang found whole herds of healthy bison residing at all of the air temples. But, of course, by logic and common sense, if there really were a whole herd of bison secretly thriving during the Hundred Year War, then we should have seen or heard of them in at least a few episodes of ATLA, especially in "Appa's Lost Days," as animals eventually have to go out and get their necessities as well as exercise.  </p>

Also,the Swarm Tribe is based on the American South and the Sun Warriors were based on Mayan/Aztec. Having Middle Eastern or Indian would be fine. Wasn't Guru Pathik Indian? </p><p>Legend of Korra did so much for the World of Avatar; it expanded Metalbending, empowered Bloodbending, brought back Airbending (revived the Air Nation), introduced Lavabending and Spiritbending, and connected both the Human and Spirit Worlds. </p><p>The World of Avatar is still untapped. New locations to visit, histories to uncover, new Sub Bending forms to introduce, and of course new Heroes and Villains to meet. </p><p>Calling Legend of Korra a "disgrace" is your opinion. However, mine is that Legend of Korra is a great but flawed show. It had a rough start but was pretty good in the end. </p>

<p>When they want to make a sequel, they're gonna think about making it "bigger" and "better," in order to make more money, oh but you see, they forget about how the world flowed along with the story in the original show, which makes the so-called "sequel" appear to take place in a different world than its predecessor. In order to make the best sequel, you have got to clearly remember how the original work's story and world went together smoothly, so that the sequel would follow that same accurate pattern, making it into a successful addition to the franchise. But, unfortunately, Bryke tried too hard to make it a lot more "cooler" and "epic" in order to attract a lot more fans to it, which is why there are some pretty major things about TLOK that should not have existed in the first place in order to make it a good sequel like it was supposed to be.   </p>

<p>As for Lavabending; I meant having it be a form of Earthbending. before it was assumed it was Firebending. </p><p>As for jazz; Legend of Korra's Republic city is somewhat based on New York (1920's I think?) from what I remember. Also, Legend of Korra has a somewhat Steam-Punk theme. </p><p>Like I said; flawed but a good show in my opinion. If we get another series; I want to go a bit further in time. Not quite modern; but close. Expand on the Bending, Histories, Locations, Characters, etc. </p>

<p>Overall, TLOK is a pretty good show by itself, despite it being poorly executed, especially in seasons 2 & 4. But when you put it next to ATLA, then it's bad.  </p>

<p>Actually, in my opinion; Korra isn't all that bad. She didn't start out great but in the end she grew into her role. She isn't like Aang; but all Avatar's are meant to become their own characters. Book 1 and 2 Korra are Korra at her worst. However, Book 3 and 4 are her at her best.  </p><p>At any rate; this is off topic. </p>

<p>Maybe Korra is a better avatar than Aang. But she is mentally pretty weak, not to mention she takes forever to come back to conciousness when she hasn't even been given big blows, something that we can not forget.  </p>

The fact that Korra was rude and hot-headed shows that the Avatar is still human. They're not this perfect spirit-human. They're regular humans! Humans make mistakes! Aang did, and so did other Avatars before him. Korra was the only real Avatar that had a real personality. All the other Avatars were like Kyoshi: Ima make a new island oh look it's perfect. Roku: ima just tame this dragon here... Good boy! Aang: Whoops, I made a teensy mistake. Korra: No Mako, this IS a breakup. I'm your girlfriend, and you're paying more attention to your work! See? Korra was more realistic. She had a boyfriend DURING the show, and broke up with him! In canon (Turf Wars), Korra and Asami have a really nice relationship. They fight a little, but who doesn't? The point is, not perfect is perfect!!! Also, please don't swear. </p>

<p>I don't know how this thread strayed so far but I'm going to add to it. Mako, Asami and Korra's love triangle is so messy and bad that it ruins the effect of relationships onwards in the series. I'm fine with Korra and her very flat personality but don't start saying it's great when it's not. She's so bland and predictable. I can't say Aang's personality was great on the surface but he was in ATLA and the show was suppose to be cartoony and he works perfectly there because his personality was built around it being a cartoon. </p>
