<p>Each element has colors associated with it. Water=blue/white, fire=red/orange/black, earth=green, air=orange/yellow. water and fire make sense: water is blue and snow/ice is white; fire is red/orange, and ash (result of fire) is black. but why is earth green and air orange/yellow? nothing about earth is green, unless you count certain jemstones (although bendable, not very common) and air is certaintly not orange or yellow. earth should be black or brown, the common color of dirt/rocks. air would be blue/white (color of clouds and the sky) but those colors are already taken by water (so what do you think air should be?) what do you think about this?

<p>Yellow is choosen to represents the element of air in the most of western animation/books/movies etc because air has no color lol and the tibetan monks wear orange and Air Nomads are their fantasy counterpart and also autumn.
</p><p>Earth Kingdom citizens wear green, yellow and brown. Not just green.
</p><p>Apparently there is a pattern of colors in each season finale of books. Water was blue, earth was green, fire was red, air was white, spirits was purple, we don't know the color pattern of book change and the last book yet.

<p>The irony is that in China the colours are reversed: Air is associated with Wood and plants, so it is represented by Green, while Earth is associated with yellow and gold.
